The UOC Language & Style site is produced and maintained by staff at the UOC's Language Service. The aim of the site is to provide users with general guidelines on language use for the texts produced at the University.

The UOC's Language Service covers a range of areas.

  • It manages translation and editing services for the languages used at the University. To see how to use these services, staff can refer to these instructions (login required).
  • It provides guidelines for language use in the University's institutional, educational and administrative texts.
  • It offers support for correct use of language, bearing in mind the University's commitment to Catalan, the challenges of multilingualism and the international scope of activities.
  • It takes part in projects of mutual interest developed together with language services from members of the Vives Network.
